Nasi Kampung
Malaysia Rice with Green Beans and Shallots
Nasi Kampung is a spicy Malaysian Fried Rice Recipe which goes along very well with Asian barbeque like grilled satay or Singapore spareribs.
This Malaysian Rice dish is real tasty and easy to prepare.
Ingredients
Here I'm taking the easy way out by using a ready mix of Nasi Kampung style fried rice spice powder, which according to the backflap contains salt and sugar, dried fish powder (ikan bilis), green chili powder (cili padi) and dried shrimp powder, plus some flavour enhancers.
For this Malaysian fried rice recipe you will need the following ingredients:

| Cooked White Rice |
| Shallots, not too small, chopped to 1/4" pieces |
| Green Beans, chopped to 1/4" pieces |
| Red Chili, chopped to 1/4" pieces |
| Nasi Kampung powder |
Preparation

Cook rice; |

Heat 4 tablespoons of cooking oil in a wok or large and wide saucepan; |

Stir fry green beans for 30 seconds, add shallots and chili and stir fry for one minute more; |

Add cooked rice and stir fry for 2 minutes more; |

Sprinkle the contents of the sachet of Nasi Kampung powder over the rice and stir fry for 2 minutes more; |
- |
Ready to go, serve as hot as possible! |

After 3 hours of smoking we started to apply the

until they looked bright red and shining!
