BBQ Party Music
I have loved music all my life. All kinds of music, but especially party music. By "Party Music" I mean to refer to "the music that just makes you feel good, whatever the mood or occasion".
There's the kind of music that gets people clapping and dancing straight away, hands in the air etcetera. Great! But there's also the kind of music that makes you just feel happy, content, or which supports the atmosphere you try to create. You may think your friends don't like country music, but throw a couple of cowboy steaks on the bbq and put on a George Strait CD, and watch what's happening...
My Favourite Music?
In the late sixties I started an everlasting love with the Blues and its younger cousin named Rock Music. At the same time I got to love R&B and Soul, and (to make matters worse...) I also flirted with Country & Western, I got to appreciate the rock-steady beat of Reggae, and got myself way deep into Tex-Mex and the swamps of Zydeco.
I guess what I'm trying to say here is that I'm not so picky when it comes to type of music. I will appreciate it as long as it's true and original stuff, as long as it's got rhythm and feeling.
Barbecue Music ?
Music is not a prerequisite for a good barbecue party. But if you want a particular atmosphere for your bbq party, the right kind of bbq music may help tremendously.
On this page we mention some music styles and titles for every kind of bbq party. Of course this is not rocket science, and if you feel different about any combination suggested here, please go for what you feel is best.
Likewise, the song titles mentioned here are to be regarded as a guideline only. Although these lists contain a compilation of very good music titles, these lists are certainly not intended to represent a absolute "best of".
The problem is, there is só much good music, and só little time to enjoy it...
